Bubye Valley Conservancy
This area is a modern day conservation success story of some renown. The Bubye Valley Conservancy (BVC) was originally a series of cattle ranches that were amalgamated in the early nineties to form an 860 000 acre wildlife paradise. The area has 9 luxury safari camps to choose from and the wildlife species are diverse. In particular, the area is famous for its large concentration of the big five. Buffalo, Lion and Leopard abound and they are some of the premier species sought after in this large concession. The BVC is well known for its dangerous game hunting, however the plains game is varied and numerous, and many first time Africa goers are well advised to safari to this lowveld destination. The BVC takes conservation seriously, and nowhere is this more evident in their anti-poaching effort. You can rest assured that a safari to this hunting mecca will contribute directly to not just single species conservation in the form of their rhino and lion research programs, but more importantly to habitat preservation, which is the crux of the problem facing our wild populations in this present day.
